My Work
My work focuses on data-driven research, sustainability, and innovative solutions in environmental and energy sectors. I have experience designing and conducting surveys, performing in-depth data analysis, and applying advanced methodologies like linear optimization and life cycle assessments (LCA) to tackle complex challenges. From optimizing cattle feed to reduce methane emissions to accelerating electric vehicle (EV) adoption, my projects emphasize strategic problem-solving with a focus on sustainability. I also excel in policy analysis, risk management, and leveraging analytical tools like Pyomo and SimaPro to drive impactful change. My goal is to create environmentally sustainable solutions backed by rigorous research and data.

A comparative Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) comparing the environmental impacts of digital and physical art creation reveals that digital art generally has a lower environmental footprint. Physical art, represented by acrylic paintings on canvas, shows significantly higher global warming potential, terrestrial ecotoxicity, and human non-carcinogenic toxicity due to the production of canvases, brushes, and paints. In contrast, digital art, modeled using a tablet and stylus, has a lower impact, though its environmental footprint increases slightly with increased usage and reduced device lifespan. Overall, the study encourages artists to consider more sustainable practices, as digital art tends to be a more eco-friendly option.

This report examines the challenges and delays in developing onshore wind farms in New York State (NYS), a key component of the state's renewable energy goals. Despite wind energy's potential, projects face significant obstacles, including lengthy regulatory and permitting processes, legal battles, community opposition, and supply chain disruptions. These issues lead to delays of 5-6 years on average. Recommendations for overcoming these barriers include streamlining regulatory procedures, enhancing stakeholder engagement, and strengthening supply chain resilience. Addressing these challenges is crucial for accelerating wind farm development and advancing NYS's transition to cleaner energy.

This report provides an in-depth analysis of ExxonMobil's business strategy and risk management, focusing on key operational, financial, regulatory, and strategic challenges. It highlights risks such as the energy transition, market volatility, and geopolitical instability, alongside regulatory and environmental concerns. ExxonMobil's mitigation strategies include investing in low-carbon technologies, bolstering regulatory compliance, managing market volatility, and enhancing cybersecurity. Despite a volatile risk profile driven by global energy trends, the company's strong risk management approach positions it to adapt and thrive in an increasingly complex energy landscape.

This project involved designing and conducting surveys and interviews to analyze the relationship between consumer interactions with electric vehicles (EVs) and their intent to adopt them. Key findings indicate that positive EV experiences—such as silent driving, comfort, and environmental benefits—significantly influence adoption intentions. However, barriers like charging infrastructure and cost continue to hinder widespread adoption. The study recommends government incentives, improved infrastructure, and enhanced EV design to boost consumer interest. By addressing these challenges, the project aims to contribute to sustainability efforts in the transportation industry and promote greater EV adoption.

Electrifying Tomorrow: Comprehensive Policy Brief on Accelerating Electric Vehicle Adoption in India
The report "Electrifying Tomorrow: A Comprehensive Policy Brief on Accelerating Electric Vehicle Adoption in India" highlights the urgent need to boost electric vehicle (EV) adoption to meet India's sustainability goals. Despite initiatives like the National Electric Mobility Mission Plan (NEMMP) and FAME schemes, EV uptake has been slow due to high costs, insufficient charging infrastructure, and inconsistent policies. Key recommendations include improving national charging infrastructure, standardizing incentives across states, and raising public awareness of EV benefits. The report calls for a coordinated approach that integrates cleaner energy sources, streamlined policies, and infrastructure development to drive sustainable transportation in India.

The project "Cows and Climate Change: A Linear Optimization Approach" tackles methane emissions in cattle farming, a significant contributor to global warming. Using linear programming and the Pyomo tool, the study optimizes cattle feed compositions to minimize methane emissions while meeting nutritional needs. By evaluating various raw materials like legume silage, corn silage, and seaweed, the project develops feed mixes that balance environmental impact and cost. Key findings reveal that while certain feeds effectively reduce emissions, budget and production constraints can force less optimal choices, underscoring the need for strategic approaches in sustainable agriculture.
